FAQ
When should I arrive in Fort Worth?
We are encouraging everyone to arrive by Friday afternoon to help us kick off our wedding weekend at our welcome party, the Wild West Fest. For those of you with extra time to spend in Fort Worth, please check out our local recommendations!
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 6pm, so please plan to arrive ahead of time to grab a drink, find a seat, and get settled before we begin. Doors will open at 5:30pm.
Will there be transportation provided?
For our wedding our ceremony and reception on Saturday, the Hotel Drover is conveniently located just a few very walkable blocks from each of the hotels in our room block, so no transportation needed! For those who have arranged their own accommodations further away, Ubers are plentiful in the area.
For Wild West Fest, our welcome party on Friday evening, transportation will be provided! The pickup details are as follows:
6:30pm at the Hotel Drover
6:30pm at the SpringHill Suites
6:40pm at Courtyard by Marriott
Transportation will also be available back to the hotels at the end of the night. For those who need to leave early, there will also be an earlier trip back at 9:30pm.
Miss the shuttle? Uber is always an option, and the venue is walking distance so going on foot is also an option!
What will the weather be like?
Texas weather can vary greatly, but in general be prepared for it to be warm to very warm. We do get more of a dry heat here, but we won’t sugar coat it - it can get pretty hot! In the event of warm weather we’ll have measures in place to keep temperatures comfortable, but the ceremony and cocktail hour are both scheduled to take place outside, so we recommend keeping an eye on the weather forecast and planning your attire accordingly - we want you to be comfortable!
What should I wear?
We know, we know, we had a little fun with the dress code! We completely get how stressful it can be when you’re not sure what to wear, so we hope that the following descriptions will provide you with all of the clarity that you need. If however you’re still left not entirely sure what to wear, just wear something that you love and feel great in - we’re excited to celebrate with you, regardless of what you wear!
Wild West Fest - Cowtown Chic
Think casual cocktail - still festive, but more relaxed than your standard “cocktail attire” (ladies sundresses are welcome, gents you are welcome to leave the ties and jackets at home) - with western flair highly encouraged. Boots, fringe, denim, cowboy hats, bolo ties - bring the cowtown and have fun with it!
This is a western inspired event, so naturally western dress code rules apply - you can absolutely wear denim!
Ceremony & Reception - Summertime Formal
Think a slightly more relaxed, fun, and comfortable take on formal attire. Our event will be indoor-outdoor with parts of the day taking place outside come rain or shine, so keep those Texas temperatures in mind. Gents, suits and tuxes are both equally welcome. Ladies, think a dressy cocktail or formal dress, jumpsuit, or separates. Textures, colors, and patterns are all welcome and encouraged - that goes for the men, too!
Dress for the climate and (most importantly!) the dance floor!
Can I bring my kids?
We love your kids - promise!! - but our wedding is all about big kid fun. So leave the kiddos behind and come ready to enjoy a parents’ night out!
We have made an exception for immediate cousins of the bride and groom - thanks for understanding!
